While less of a detective story than an unfolding mystery that the reader is swept along with as things happen, the story is quick to draw you in, and hold your attention for the read. The underlying technical data and human interaction are wonderful, and the author has worked hard to draw upon familiar relationships and groupings to bring you flesh and blood characters that the reader will suddenly realize they know from their own life. The setting of Vegas is lushly presented, from the humidity and desert view to the occasional rain storm bringing cold water and glaring neon reflecting from the ground. A definite must read, and a nice break from today's rush for political or horror/fantasy push in literature. I hungrily await the next story in the series.Product details
