I thought the blurb sounded good but believe me, don't waste your time or money on this book. My review will have spoilers. I am all for strong female characters in booms but there was absolutely nothing redeeming or strong about this one. She is so promiscuous because she was hurt by one guy?! Really? That's pretty weak time actually. I don't know anyone who has not been hurt in at least one relationship. So she has a bad experience and turns into a complete b*tch? Lame. Unlikeable and underdeveloped. I havent disliked a female character in a long time as much as i disliked this one. Alex is sweet but the story is predictable.

A Twist of Fate The Lexi Series Book 1 edition by T Gephart Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I started reading A Twist if Fate on a plane ride home and almost put it down again just as I started. It just seemed like not my kind of story. I didn't like Lexi at first. The whole beginning with Matt and her throwing herself at him I didn't really like. I don't mind ladies who know what they want and sleep with lots of men. I don't mind if that is what they want. I don't like when it is some way to fill a void or try and make themselves feel better about themselves. This is what Lexi did, and the way it was handled at first I just really didn't like. When you find out what happened to her she keeps saying how she is fine now, how he doesn't have any control over her anymore, how everything is fine. It is not. She is not fine. She keeps pushing away a real relationship and was emotionally detached, but she never really acknowledges that she is still not fine after what happened to her. I kept expecting it, and yes by the end she did change some, but she still thinks she is completely fine and he is not effecting her anymore. That was the one thing I did not like about this story. Though she did say she has baggage, but she still never really addresses how much it still effects her.

I quickly started to enjoy the book though. I really liked Alex and I loved how he and Lexi had their banter and they were really cute together. Alex tries to do whatever Lexi wants. You can tell he is head over heels for her and will do whatever he can to be with her and make her happy. They are so great together and I just wanted everything to be wonderful for them.

There are lots of parts in the middle where you are just like come on Lexi! You are being so stupid! But it was understandable for me why she was doing it so I didn't hate it. I just wanted her to get everything straightened out. I wanted her to be happy, and Alex makes her happy. I wanted Alex to have everything as well as he is just so perfect for her!

The ending was just so sweet! I loved it. I loved how Lexi finally figures things out and the way she confronts Alex was amazing. I just really like them together and I was so happy with the ending. I know there are a few more books in the series so I can't wait to read and see what they are about.

A Twist of Fate was a fantastic read!

Lexi is a strong minded Aussie girl who takes no crap from anyone. She is thrown a curve ball when she witnesses a car accident and rushes to their aid. She soon learns that the person she saved is related to the lead singer of her all-time favorite band, Power Station. She cannot believe it!

She soon meets Alex a member of Power Station and they fall… hard. Lexi has issues with committing to someone as she had been hurt before, she later finds her rules that she set are fading and she is falling for Alex. Her world is then flipped around and she finds herself with a fantastic job opportunity and living in New York looking after Power Station’s PR work.

This book was such a refreshing read, once I started I could not put it down. I first thought it was going one direction then it took a turn I didn’t see coming and it was the best turn it would have made. I fell in love with all the characters, I love Lexi and her smart mouth I want her as my friend to back me up and to just say it how it is. Alex.. just yum! I had a good laugh in some parts and could feel what the characters did. There are some great steamy scenes as well.

I cannot wait to start the next book but I think I need to catch up on a good night sleep first. The thing I love most about this book is that it doesn’t leave you hanging. T. Gephart you have done a fantastic job and I look forward to reading more of your work.
What a fun and spunky read. Oh, and steamy!

I was overjoyed to have a strong female character who was intelligent, independent and didn’t measure her own worth on what men thought of her. She breaks entirely from the pathetically passive, shy, insecure, 17-21 year old women that are portrayed so often in romance novels. It was quite refreshing! The story is very entertaining and the characters are adequately developed. The language gets a little vulgar at times but it’s not excessive or trashy, and it’s in context. Overall, I loved this book.

The book was a very fast and easy read. Although it's a series, there is no cliffhanger! Thank you T. Gephart! I quite enjoyed Gephart’s writing, although the book is in desperate need of a good editing. I found numerous right spelling, wrong word scenarios, grammar issues, and missing punctuation. There are also some formatting inconsistencies, i.e. using italics, intention and dashes for text messages sometimes, but not at others. I knocked one star off the rating for it, but it won’t stop me from reading the next book. Actually, I'm really looking forward to the next book!
Lexie is a public relations natural, but also a man eater... She doesn’t mince words with people or clients. Born and raised in Australia she loves music and a band called “Power Station”. Through a twist of fate accident she meets the lead singer and later the group. Now the group is needing help finding a replacement warm up band and new PR representation after the old PR firm leaks information... Lexie is already drawn to the bass guitarist Alex Stone from seeing him perform with the band before. The characters in the story are so real... you laugh at them and want to cry when it’s sad... and it’s only the beginning ... loved this story .. incredible start!!
