I enjoyed this titillating novella. The virginal heroine Elisabeth is whisked away from her family by the hero Jasper as payment for her father’s debts. There is no chaperone, no one to help her dress in her corsets, there are modern Americanisms used: “ass”, “cute”, “addicting,” and there are countless other inaccuracies for an historical novel set in England. It was distracting. BUT I was HAPPY to get on with the reading and not take the novella’s historical context too seriously. I just ENJOYED (with a giggle). Perhaps it was because of the charming way it was written.

If the flaws I mentioned above irritate you, this is not the novella for you. If you want to read about a heroine discovering her sexuality at the hands of her experienced future husband, this is for you.

I liked this story, it was hot and sexy with a dominating hero. The reason for only giving 4 stars was because it felt at times that the author was confused about what time period the story was set in. It's presented as a historical romance, but at times reads more like a contemporary romance.
K. Why do you do this? There is absolutely no depth of characters and just not you if I compare this to your War and Peace and Ugly Toy, etc... If this is you dabbling with this kind of writing then I understand. We all need to try our hand at something different once in a hole. But if this is you allowing another author to publish in your name, you are doing an injustice to yourself.
Inspired this quick read by K.Webster .. I was looking for something to fill in a short break in between heavy reads and this was perfect! Sassy and sweet with just the right about of heat. Elisabeth is torn between what her mind tells her she should be doing and what her body and soul is craving. I was at war with myself just as she struggled between her thoughts and decisions. Excellent character POV and development made this story that much better. If you're looking for your not so classic love story with a little bit of spice, you will not be disappointed. Well done K. Webster
I love this author! It's been on my list to read all of her back titles and I'm so happy I started with this one. I loved seeing how K. Webster's writing has developed since this story. She has really transformed over the years with respect to her writing.
Becoming Lady Thomas was a flash of a story! An all rounded, dirty, easy to read, quick read!
I liked the innocence of the main female . And the determination in the leading man. I almost wish it was a little longer and a little dirtier but this was a nice twist on a way back when romance.
So I have conflicting feelings, because the premise of this story is based on a father selling her daughter. The thought of a woman as a belonging is awful and arcaic. However Elisabeth took control of her sexuality and I loved that.

This was of coure short since it was a novella, but I liked it and it was sexy. At the end it was getting a little repetitive but it was fine.

What I know for sure is that I'm not going to read the next book, because I hate that awful sister.
I’ve had this book for months and Sunday’s. I was in a book funk and decided to do the impossible; read through the books on my shelf.

This book shocked me. I’m not into historical books but if you love the author and they decided to write a historical tale, who am I to resist, well technically I did in the beginning, but I digress.

The book was so good. I enjoyed all the characters and their development. The trickery, sexy time and domineering of the characters. Hallelujah, can you say historical ALPHA. Just beautiful and just the beginning. These Merriweather sisters need some sexy time android be wed, because you can’t whore around in a historical book. Lol, yeah you can.

Truly, it’s a good read. Try it out. I’m moving towards book 2.

So. If you're into Age play then this little story is so up your street.
I'm not a big fan of spanking or the severe age play although I do love me a good DD/lg story.

The writing is as usual on point. However, some of the turns of phrase are a little too Regent Street than Regency. Never a good idea to write about nobility without reflecting the period properly. The limited number of servants even in a modest household is the biggest omission.
Overall, if you want to get lost for a few hours in a smexy little BDSM kinky read then this will do nicely.
